Michael Brown has focused his career on criminal law, starting with an internship in the San Diego County Public Defender office. He gained trial experience by working with firms and as a sole practitioner.

Michael was encouraged to pursue criminal justice by two of his professors. They noticed he always stood up for the underdog. Michael noticed that the criminal justice’s solution to crime was to punish people already suffering, not to find a way to help them. He wanted to fix that and help his fellow man.

Throughout his career, Michael has handled several felony and misdemeanor cases, including a notable result as the first in Ohio to obtain a dismissal for marijuana trafficking under the Hemp Farm Bill.

Michael’s experience in the prosecutor’s office gives him insight into criminal investigations and how to defend against allegations.

When he’s not in the office, Michael enjoys several outdoor hobbies, spending time with his various pets and working with area schools’ sports programs.
